Biography

Eleanor Wilson was born in Fort Worth, Texas and started taking drawing and painting classes at the age of 5 as well as making paintings and sculptures with her Grandfather, John Wilson a locally renowned artist. She completed her B.F.A in painting from Texas A&M in Corpus Christi. Eleanor received her M.F.A. in painting from Colorado State University in 2014 where she pursued painting in oils as well as creating sculptural elements out of steel and wood to accompany the paintings. While at CSU she studied with Dave Yust and Paul Flippen. In 2012 Eleanor had a solo show of her paintings at CSU and was part of the MFA group exhibition in the CSU Art Museum in 2014. Also, she was the recipient of the Kennedy Center Art Scholarship and Katherine Taylor Fisher Scholarship. During her time at CSU she taught 2D foundations classes and Painting II. When Eleanor isn’t making art she stays busy hiking with her dog and playing video games.
